On August 25th, the Golisano Children’s Hospital received a check in the amount $17,400.00. The money for this handsome donation was raised through selling a reproduction print named “The Look” by the late Ramon Santiago. The original oil on canvas painting hangs in the home of Mr. and Mrs LiDestri of LiDestri Foods and has never been seen by the public.
Mercury participated in this fundraiser by donating their time and talent for creating this beautiful reproduction. Only 300 were released for sale with the first 20 being auctioned off at the gala launch held at The Inn on Broadway on May 15th of this year, with the first one snatching $5000! The remaining prints are being sold through “fortheloveoframon.com” website at $300/ea. This was the first Santiago reproduction released in the last 15 years, and there will be more never before seen paintings of Ramon’s to be reproduced by Mercury in the future!
This is just another fine example of what is to come from the power of Mercury, helping children in need through our efforts is something we can all be proud of.
